MY WRITING
I currently have 3 series of books:

Harry Logan Political Thrillers. 1st is 'Logan's Rules'. 2nd is 'Kill, or They Die'. 3rd is 'Honourable Killers'. 4th is due spring 2025.

Jennifer Graham Police Crime Thrillers. 1st is 'SPECTRUM'. 2nd, 'Framed', is due 2025.

D.I. Asoka Murder Mysteries set in Sri Lanka. 1st is 'It's Just Murder Visiting the Tropics'. 2nd is, 'A Quarrel of Expats'. 3rd is due autumn 2025.
A compilation of Pan-Genre Short Stories will be published in 2025, and then serialised on this website.

Detective Inspector Asoka returns in a new Murder Mystery, set in the tropical island of Sri Lanka.
How do the Sri Lankan Authorities investigate the death of a British resident, when the principal suspects are a tight-lipped group of Third Age British expats? They deploy their uniquely skilled, off-the-wall, take-no-prisoners approach to suspects, Detective Inspector Asoka.
A Quarrel of Expats is a police procedural, (cosy crime) murder mystery, set in the fictional Sri Lankan tourist resort of Puluwala.
Supported by Sergeant Nalaka, Asoka has to break open the lies and deception of the (mostly) British suspects as he investigates the circumstances leading up to this politically visible death.
ABOUT MAX
The chain of events leading up to my writing career
The 3rd son of a post-war romance between a Scottish father and an Austrian mother, I spent my early years as a 'Military Brat' in Europe, then Asia. That started the travel bug, which was the catalyst for my writing.
My family returned to Scotland, where I spent my informative years. After graduating in Engineering, my career took us to England, requiring me to sample working life abroad. The exciting opportunity arose to make the logistical and cultural leap of moving to the Middle East, then Asia.
The hard part was leaving family and friends. So, I wrote stories about life abroad, which were in great demand. My work required creating regional-specific content.
Back home in England, the creative content of my marketing work became my focus.
When I retired, my wife asked, “what will you do now?” She feared I’d be bored and annoying.
She needn’t have worried. “Write,” I replied. “My stuff, my way.”
So, I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoyed their creation.
